The 2006 Paris Plage Summer Beach event will take place from
July 21st to August 20th. A nice event to see enjoy in Paris - With this
year the opening of a swimming pool on the Seine River.

Paris PlageA Paris Summer BeachThe entry to this beach named 'Paris Plage' is free. Every year since 2002 Paris becomes for 1 month a large sand beach with Palm Trees... free water-spray stations - some boules pitches, several drink kiosks run by the nearby permanent cafés, a guinguette for dancing and several other areas for musicians to perform concerts are set up. Other attractions include : a river fishing club, a play area for small kids, a equiped wall to climb, a skate park... All of this will be open to the public 24 hours a day - for strollers and roller folks. A Nice place to see if visiting Paris from 21st of July to 20th of August. |

Opening of a pool on the Seine RiverThe biggest novelty for 2006 in Paris is the opening of a large swimming pool, spa, jacuzzi and fitness complex on the Seine River : At the foot of the Grande Bibliotheque in the 13th district facing the Bercy Village. The pictures of the place are available on the official site (on the right). The swimming pool will accept up to 500 people.
